Rashawn Davis (he/him) is the Director of the Racial Justice Labs at Change.org, leading the organization’s multi-million investment into racial justice impact. Throughout his career, Rashawn has helped public and private sector institutions execute solutions to help close persistent societal gaps that disproportionately affect communities of color.

In 2018, he was appointed by Newark Mayor Ras J. Baraka to serve a term as a Commissioner on Newark’s historic Police Review Board. The board is charged with reviewing, auditing and recommending changes in police practices and policy for New Jersey’s largest city.

In 2014, Rashawn became the youngest person in the history of Newark to be certified and appear on a municipal election ballot at the age of 21. He led an insurgent campaign for a City Council seat representing the 80,000 people of the city’s west ward.

Rashawn graduated from Georgetown University with a degree in Government and he earned a master’s degree from New York University’s Robert F. Wagner School.

Darius Hubbard was born in Washington DC and raised in New Jersey where he attended St Joseph's High School in Metuchen. While studying at St Joseph's, Darius attended two summers at the DuBois Scholars Summer Institute, an experience he credits as “life-changing.”

Darius earned his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Morehouse College in 2003. Following his graduation, Darius began his career in Consulting at Accenture.

Seeking to further his education, Darius later attended Cornell University's Johnson Graduate School of Management, where he earned his MBA. He also studied a semester in Hong Kong and traveled throughout Asia deepening his knowledge of global business. With his advanced degree in hand, Darius continued his professional career in Consulting working with some of the most prestigious firms in the world.

Currently, Darius serves as a Director at Ernst & Young, where he is a highly respected leader known for his strategic thinking, business development, and technology acumen. He resides in Charlotte, North Carolina with his wife, Leslie, and their three children - Angelia, Averie, and Joel. The family is also proud owners of two German Shepherds, Phife and Snoop.

In his free time, Darius enjoys traveling with his family, coaching baseball, and listening to classic vocal jazz and 90s' Hip Hop. He is also passionate about giving back and volunteers his time and expertise to various charitable organizations that focus on educating, exposing and empowering disadvantaged youth. Joining the Dubois Board of Directors is a full circle moment for Darius and he’s eager to contribute to paving the way for future generations of DuBois scholars.

As members of the board, Rashawn and Darius will be contributing their skills and knowledge to guide and shape our organization's direction. We are excited to have them as a part of our team.

Please take a moment to welcome Rashawn and Darius to our organization and make them feel at home. We look forward to working with them and achieving great things together.
