Residential stay for participants occurs at a hotel in Princeton, NJ each weekend. Participants are required to reside in the hotel and participate in both the academic and residential program components each weekend.
Residential staff with experience working with youth monitor the students and reside with the students each weekend while on and off campus.
STEM Activities
Led by our dedicated residential staff on Friday evenings, students participate in hands-on collaborative STEM activities! These activities allow students to use their creativity and problem-solving skills to tackle innovative STEM challenges together.
Guest Lectures
On Fridays, students experience a guest lecture conducted by experienced STEM professionals from underrepresented backgrounds. These presentations enable ALA scholars to network with STEM professionals and prepare for future careers beyond their collegiate experience.
Field Trips
Participants engage in exciting field trips on Saturday evenings to bond with their peers outside of the classroom!
