dIRECTOR OF rESIDENCE lIFE (SUMMER)
RESIDENTIAL COUNSELORS & MENTORS (RCM) (SUMMER)
Brief Overview:
As a member of the administrative staff, the Director of Residence Life assumes primary responsibility for supervising the residential staff (Residential Counselors and Mentors – RCMs) as well as creating and directing the residential program for students. Specifically, the Director of Residential Life works closely with the Senior Program Manager, Program Manager, RCMs and other staff members involved with academic life to help integrate the residential and academic aspects of the program.
Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree, or current or previous graduate study (any field) is preferred.
- Supervisory staff experience in a residential life setting or at a residential summer camp is preferred.
- Experience working with 7th-11th graders is preferred.
- Demonstrated workshop development and presentation experience
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Six-week consecutive stay (June 16, 2025 to July 26, 2025) in a Princeton University dormitory is required.
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination is required.
- Background check will be required.

Brief Overview:
As the engines of the Institute, the Residence Counselors & Mentors (RCMs) are responsible for ensuring students’ safety and well-being, as well as managing and overseeing the Institute’s day to-day operations. General duties include but are not limited to: attending classes to observe student performance; assisting faculty instructors during classes, organizing leadership workshops; tutoring students; accompanying students on field trips; supervising students on and off campus, mentoring students; and organizing recreational activities.
Requirements:
• Minimum: juniors or seniors at undergraduate colleges/universities with a desire for post-undergraduate study. College graduates, current graduate school students or
post-graduate school students are welcomed.
• 3.0 Overall GPA
• All majors welcomed
• Experience with residential life and/or experience working with middle school aged
children and older highly preferred.
• Residential stay in a Princeton University dormitory (June 18, 2025 – July 266, 2025) is required.
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination (minimum: two primary doses) is required.
• Background check will be required.
